Day 5: Kairos Center Ministry

Today a couple of thoughts from Alex Duncan and Pascal Tuley

Alex: hey everyone! We had an amazing day today as we started our ministry at Kairos. Since our day was so busy I'll sum things up
1: the owner of the "castle" shared his testimony and taught us some more about God's word.
2: we met some volunteers we work at Kairos and we had lunch with them.
3: I had a conversation about Gallic with Shannon and even somewhat held a Gallic conversation
4: WE COULDN'T FIND A PARKING SPACE IN ALL OF NEW CASTLE. literally took us a half an hour -_-
5: we did a VBS type program with a few kids at Kairos
6: We had a jam session with the Irish band staying with us, Reality
7: we stayed in and had a movie night with some of the Irish people staying here

So far here we are loving it here in Ireland despite the cold and the wind. Thank you all for your prayers. God is awesome and is defiantly working within us! Night y'all!

Pascal: I am Pascal! When I see dogs I announce them. But seriously today we went to Kairos a ministry center in Newcastle. We shared the gospel with some children and played extreme tag with people. Please pray for a boy named Nialls. He is an extremely hyper kid and reminds me a lot of a younger version of myself. I hope he calms down a little so I can share God's love for him. We also played soccer(football) and rugby with a young boy named Brandon. Can't wait to hear from you all.

And then back to Jack:
Today the team worked for the first time with the Kairos Center. It was great just to sit back and watch the students do everything, Miss Stow and I didn't have to do anything, just give them a we instructions. They did a fantastic job. Also today, our host missionary shared his testimony, which was hugely encouraging. They are taking ownership of the ministry. Thank you so much for all your prayers,

Btw, Alec wasn't exaggerating, it took at least 30 minutes to find a parking place. Throw into the mix a big huge minibus, driving on the left and still not being familiar with the area and it truly was the most frustrating part of the day. Dropping off everyone else at the Kairos Center first was a wise move. Also I just found out that Newcastle is home to the Royal County Down golf course, one of the British Open courses and one of the top courses in the whole world. When he and I go to pick up the team from Kairos tomorrow morning we are going to go look at the course and maybe visit the gift shop. At $275 we probably can't fit a round in the budget.

  3. Hi all! I love the pics, adventure stories, your personalities coming through, and especially the details about ministry and the prayer requests. We are praying for Nialls and Brandon and all the others. This is Virginia Tuley and we are in Philly looking forward to serving at the Salvation Army and the Honickman learning center today. Asking God to ground you in all the love he has for you open your spiritual eyes to see where he is working to infuse you with joy and courage to jump in and join him. Eph 3:14-21
